What is a Muscular Knot?
A knot or what is known in the medical community as Myofascial Trigger Point is a painful bundle of contracted muscle tissue that may refer pain to other areas in the body when pressure is applied to them.
One of the reasons we have back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, hand pain, hip pain, foot pain, knee pain can be due to one or many of these Trigger Points.
Trigger point therapy is one of the many services rendered at my clinic and is one that is very effective in treating pain.
Why do we get Trigger Points?
one of the most common ways we get trigger points is because we have jobs and habits that overstretch or over exert our muscles and they have a build up of waste that is unable to get out of the muscle, that waste causes inflammation and pain. Chiropractors are trained to address these trigger points and can help diminish pain and muscular inhibition for you.
